Oyuncu / Yönetmen. Tiyatro, sinema ve dizi film oyuncusu, tiyatro yönetmeni. 21 Aralık 1955’te Ankara’da dünyaya geldi. Tam adı Ali Ragıp İpin’dir. İlk ve orta okulu Ankara’da okudu, lise eğitimini de İstanbul’da tamamladı. Liseden sonra mimarlık eğitimi için Londra’ya gitti. Türkiye’ye dönünce 1975 yılında Ankara Cebeci Devlet Konservatuarı Tiyatro Bölümüne girdi ve burada tiyatro eğitimi aldı, 1978 yılında mezun oldu ve ardından devlet tiyatrolarında sahneye çıkmaya başladı. 1981 yılında İsviçre-Cenevre’ye Conservatoire de Genéve’e misafir öğrenci olarak gitti ve orada Drama bölümünde eğitim aldı. Türkiye’ye dönünce tekrar Ankara’ya Devlet Tiyatroları’na döndü, 29 yıl Ankara’da çalıştıktan sonra İstanbul Devlet Tiyatrosu’na atandı. Halen Başkent İletişim Bilimleri Akademisi’nde, Diksiyon, Spikerlik ve Sunuculuk, Seslendirme ve Oyunculuk gibi çeşitli derslerde eğitim vermektedir. Ali İpin ekran önüne ise ilk kez 2000 yılında yayınlanan Samyeli dizisi ile çıktı. Ardından Asmalı Konak, Baba, Kasabanın İncisi gibi dizilerde rol aldı. 2003 yılında yayınlanan Kurtlar Vadisi dizisinin ilk sezonunda Kirve rolünü canlandırdı. Beşinci Boyut, Arka Sokaklar adlı dizilerde rol aldı. 2006 yılında yayınlanan Yaprak Dökümü dizisinde Fahrettin karakterini canlandırdı. 2008 yılında Baba Ocağı dizisinde Yusuf rolünde izleyici karşısına çıktı. 2011 yılında vizyona giren Behzat Ç. Seni Kalbime Gömdüm adlı sinema filminde Emekli Polis Müfettişi rolünü canlandırdı. 2014 yılında yayınlanan Güzel Köylü dizisinde Yusuf rolünü canlandıran Ali İpin 2015 yılında yayınlanan Hatırla Gönül dizisinde, 2021'de Seni Çok Bekledim dizisinde rol aldı. Ali İpin, yeni projelerde yer almayı sürdürmektedir.
