Hello, I'm İrfan Emsen. I'm a graduate of Bilkent Üniversitesi's English-language Architecture program, but my passion for voice over took precedence and I've continued my career in this direction. My voice over career began in 2019 when I volunteered for an audiobook project for the visually impaired, and continued with narrating books for my own YouTube channel and other channels. I've also voiced books and stories at the request of several esteemed authors. In addition to these, I work from my home recording studio doing commercials, promotional content, and character voice overs. I've also been regularly contributing my voice to videos for a YouTube channel producing entertainment-related content for over a year. I also lend my voice to support individuals and communities as part of social responsibility initiatives. Professional voice artist since 2016, I've worked on over 600 projects to date (see “References” tab). My mother tongue is French, from France, and I'm also fluent in English (International and French-accented) and Swedish (French-accented). My mid-low voice has a natural warmth while also sounding reliable and knowledgeable, making it ideal for educational, inspiring and trust-inducing content, while keeping a friendly, kind and human touch. I'm also highly versatile and can increase the speed and energy level for ads and other high-impact content, and I'm able to create all kinds of character voices (or stick to mine for a less cartoony performance). I'm based in Kyoto, Japan, and work mostly from my home studio (specs under the “Equipments” tab). However, I'm always ready to move to external studios in the area (Osaka) or even travel back and forth to Tokyo. For major projects, I'm also ready to fly to whichever location is required.
