Hello Everyone, I hold a Master's degree in Media and Cultural Relations from Arel Üniversitesi. I have received training in Proper Turkish Speech, voice-over work, writing, and dubbing. For 13 years, I worked as an announcer and program host (educational and health programs) at various radio and television stations. Dimitris was the best choice Santa Monica Studios could have made on behalf of Sony, when the company decided to translate one of its most popular PS4 video games into Greek. And so Kratos spoke Greek for the first time with Dimitris Chavres' epic voice, earning him high praise from both Sony and the Greek gaming community. Dimitris' voice is versatile. It can be awe-inspiring, like when he recites the nostalgic poem Ithaka, by Kavafis both in Greek and English. His timbre has the power to make a place come to life, like he did with Crete while talking about the Greek coffee Loumidis. It can be serious and professional like in the TV spot for Creta Farm and the radio campaigns by Avin, Axa, Makro etc. And then come the many animated characters he has brought to life, that make his daughter Elisavet proud. Like when Dimitris became the villain Draco in the movie How to Train Your Dragon 2 that was directed by Dean DeBlois and created by 20th Century Fox and Dreamworks. And the time when he just as easily turned into a kind King in the Warner Brothers animated film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, that was directed by Zack Snyder. Drawing from his passion for acting, Dimitris thrives in taking up different roles and personalities. He can easily turn from a happy guy who just bought his new IKEA bookshelves, to a spooky narrator in interactive fantasy books, to an instructor in YouTube videos and so many more.

I do voice-over work in Turkish and English for commercials, social media content, documentaries, and animation projects, and I also record radio jingles. I work as a post producer at an international post-production company, so I understand not only how a voice sounds, but how it works within an edit. I spent 5 years at Radyo Bilkent, producing live broadcasts, jingles, and original programs. During that time, I created shows like “Spoiler” (cinema), “Bi Rota” (travel), and “Demarkaj” (culture & arts) across YouTube, live radio, and podcast formats. I also worked at Bubble Works Media as a podcaster and audio content editor. I trained in diction with Mehpare Çelik, former chief announcer at TRT, and I also worked as a stage presenter during my time at Bilkent. I have a degree in Communication and Design from Bilkent University and a Master’s degree in Filmmaking from Eötvös Loránd University. My voice is generally natural and clean, but I can also adapt to more energetic or character-based styles when needed.
