User guide
Offers and projects
How to agree a job with an artist for an ad, an explainer, an e-learning module or any other one-off voice-over, how your payment is protected, and how the work moves from order to delivery.
You can start a job in two ways: Quick Order when the price is already set, or a custom offer when you want to discuss it. Either way, your payment is held safely by VoiceBros until you approve the delivery.
- 1
Two ways: Quick Order or an offer
On the artist's profile you'll see two buttons. If your script is ready and the artist's prices suit you, Quick Order is the fastest route. If you want to discuss price, timing or scope, request a custom offer.
- Quick Order: the price is calculated instantly and you pay right away.
- Custom offer: the artist quotes a price and you can negotiate; nothing is charged until you accept and pay.
- 2
Place a Quick Order
Click “Quick Order” on the artist's profile. The form moves step by step: each step shows only its own fields, and you can go back to earlier steps with the step bar at the top. The price updates instantly on the right.
- Your project: enter a project name and your script. The price is based on the word count, using the artist's word-count tiers.
- Notes: optionally add a note for the artist (tone, emphasis, pace), a video link and its password if it has one, files or a voice note.
- Usage: choose the media usage (personal, local, national, international, all rights); it adjusts the price with a multiplier.
- Style: either choose a voice tone or pick one of the artist's samples as a reference. One is enough; choosing one clears the other, so the artist never gets conflicting directions.
- Extras: if the artist offers them, add extra services such as synchronization, alternative readings or extra revisions.
- Summary: check your choices; “Edit” on each row takes you back to that step. “Proceed to Payment” opens the payment screen directly.
- You can use “Save as Draft” to stop and continue later. If the artist works by quote only for a media type, a “Get Quote” button appears there; Quick Order is closed while the artist is on vacation.
- 3
Request a custom offer
Click “Request Quote” on the artist's profile; the “Request Offer” button in the chat opens the same form. The form moves step by step:
- Type: Single Project, Bulk Project or Fixed Monthly. The next steps change with the type you choose.
- Details: the project name and your script (if it's ready), or a description of the job (tone, length, where it will be used).
- Files: an optional video link (with its password, if any) and files.
- Usage and Budget: choose the media usage; optionally suggest a budget and choose extra services and the number of revisions and alternative readings. The budget suggestion is not binding; the artist can accept it, make a counter offer or decline.
- Summary: check and send. An offer sent from the chat also appears in the chat as an offer card.
- Offers are sent in USD; on the payment screen you see the amount that will be charged in your currency.
- 4
Negotiate and accept
The artist's price arrives on your My Offers page. You can choose “Accept & Pay”, negotiate with “Make a counter offer”, or reject it.
- Negotiation lasts at most 3 rounds; in the final round only accept or reject remain.
- An offer is valid for 15 days; the clock restarts with every new price or counter offer.
- For an expired offer you can use “Request more time” once; the artist can extend it by 15 days.
- When you accept, you're asked to enter your script. The price is fixed; script length does not change it.
- 5
Payment
You pay by card or from your wallet (including your open-account limit). The project is created only after the payment is complete.
- The payment screen has “Card” and “Wallet” tabs at the top; when paying by card you also choose your billing profile there.
- Payments from Turkey (+90) are charged in TRY via PayTR; payments from other countries in USD or EUR via Stripe.
- Your payment is held in escrow by VoiceBros until you approve the delivery; the artist receives it after your approval.
- If your wallet balance is too low, the payment screen takes you to top up your wallet.
- 6
How the project runs
After payment the project appears on your My Projects page as “Pending”. After a short VoiceBros check and the artist's acceptance, it moves to “In Progress”.
- When the artist uploads the audio, it first goes through a VoiceBros check, then reaches you as “Delivered”.
- You listen to the delivery as a watermarked preview; you download the original files after approving.
- You can send questions to the artist from the project page or the chat.
- 7
Approve or request a revision
If you're happy with the delivery, click “Approve & Rate”: you give a rating and can add a comment and a tip. If you want a change, click “Request Revision”.
- A reading revision is covered by the free revisions agreed in the offer; once they're used up it costs 50% of the project price.
- A text revision (changing the script) always costs 50% of the project price. You need to provide the new text.
- You can withdraw a paid revision within 60 minutes with “Cancel Revision & Approve”; the fee goes back to your wallet.
- The approval period is 10 days from payment and pauses during a revision. You get a reminder 24 hours before it ends.
- The artist can send an “extra request” for work outside the scope; if you accept it you pay for it separately, and you're free to reject it.
- 8
Cancellation and disputes
Before the project is delivered (Pending or In Progress) you can click “Cancel Project” on the project page.
- On cancellation, the amount you paid is refunded to your wallet in USD; you can use the balance for new jobs.
- If the delivery isn't what you expected, request a revision first. If you still can't agree, choose a reason with “Reject”; the VoiceBros team will review it.
- When you approve, an invoice is created, sent to your email, and available via “Download Invoice” on the project page.
Example
A project agreed at $100 with 1 free reading revision; the client also changes the script once:
- Paid on acceptance (held in escrow)
- $100
- 1st reading revision (free revision)
- $0
- Text revision (50% of the project price)
- $50
- Artist's net earning ($150 with 35% commission)
- $97.50
- Client's $10 tip (no commission)
- $10
The commission rate can differ by artist. Card payments from Turkey are charged in TRY.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Quick Order and a custom offer?+
With Quick Order the price is calculated instantly from the artist's pricing settings and you pay right away. With a custom offer the artist quotes a price for your job and you can negotiate; nothing is charged until you accept and pay.
When does my money reach the artist?+
Your payment is held in escrow by VoiceBros until you approve the delivery. When you approve, the artist's earning goes to their wallet.
What happens if I don't approve the delivery?+
The approval period is 10 days from payment and pauses during a revision. A reminder is sent 24 hours before it ends. When it runs out, a delivered job is completed automatically; in that case no rating or tip can be added.
Do revisions cost extra?+
A reading revision is covered by the free revisions agreed in the offer; after that it costs 50% of the project price. Changing the script always costs 50% of the project price. You can withdraw a paid revision within 60 minutes.
Can I cancel the project?+
Yes, before delivery (Pending or In Progress) you can click “Cancel Project” on the project page. The amount you paid is refunded to your wallet.
What should I do if I'm not happy with the delivery?+
First request a revision and describe clearly what you want. If you still can't agree, choose a reason with “Reject”; the VoiceBros team will review the case.
What happens when an offer expires?+
Offers are valid for 15 days. For an expired offer you can use “Request more time” once; if the artist extends it by 15 days, the offer reopens.
Can I share my phone number or email with the artist?+
No. Phone numbers and email addresses shared in the chat may be blocked or hidden. Keep communication and payment on the platform; payment protection only covers jobs done through VoiceBros.
What should I use for multi-episode or regular work?+
Use Bulk Projects for series and a fixed-price monthly retainer for regular monthly work; each has its own user guide.
Can I choose both a voice tone and a reference sample in my order?+
No, you choose one of the two. If you ask for “Deep & Rich” but point to a light reading as the reference, the artist gets conflicting directions. If one of the artist's samples fits your job, pick it; if not, pick a voice tone from the list. If the artist has no samples, the voice tone is optional.
Find the right voice for your job: place a Quick Order or request a custom offer from the artist's profile.
