I am Colombian, but have lived in the US for the last 21 years. I currently live in Las Vegas, where I have my home studio. I have more than 8 years of experience as a voice over artist. I am also a singer and musician. I have narrated over 30 audiobooks, and I've done work for Amazon, TTS projects, e-learning, video narration, dubbing, character voices, and instructional content. I was born in Istanbul in 1975. My childhood was spent running and playing in the streets of Üsküdar. While studying at Istanbul University's Department of Market Research and Advertising, I attended theater training and performed in plays. In 1995, I was accepted into Müjdat Gezen Sanat Merkezi Theater Department. I graduated from the program and went on to perform in various plays and television series. I have been a voice over artist for twenty-five years. I love bringing the characters I voice to life through my voice. For six years, I have been volunteering at Yas ve Ölüm Bilgeliği Platformu. I am one of the founders of the platform's digital magazine Eşik. My story "Bana Benzeme Sakın" was awarded second place in the 2024 Çukurova Öykü Yarışması. My story "Kül" received an honorable mention in the 2024 Seyhan Livaneli Öykü Yarışması. My story "Çocukluk Çıkmazı" was awarded first place in the 2024 Asonans Dergi Podcast Öykü Yarışması. My story "Akide Şekeri" was awarded first place in the 2024 Ayşe Şengöz Öykü Yarışması. My story "NALÂN ROMAN" was selected for inclusion in the anthology prepared in memory of Oğuz Atay Öykü Ödülleri 2024. My story "Mavi Saz" was awarded second place in the 3. Carel has been an award-winning storyteller and professional voice-actor for 35 years. He specialises in character voices and has featured prominently in popular video games. While he prefers adding his own unique flavour to a character, he can emulate the likes of Richard Burton, Stephen Fry, David Attenborough, wizards like Gandalf or Albus Dumbledore, if that's what you're after as a client.
