Mariko is a bilingual Japanese voice actor based in the Washington, DC area. She has worked on a wide range of projects, including eLearning narration, YouTube documentaries, audiobooks, commercials, video game characters, and English dubbing for live-action dramas, performing in both Japanese and English. Her notable credits include Shion in Overwatch (video game), the English dub voice of Lady Ochiba in FX's SHOGUN, and in-store narration for UNIQLO. Most projects are completed in my home studio, while others are recorded at a local studio in Washington DC or New York. Originally from Tokyo, Japanese is her native language, but she also speaks English with a slight Japanese accent. She has trained in voice acting in both Japanese and English under professional voice actors and studied professional acting at the Studio Acting Conservatory in Washington, DC. Her natural voice is warm, authentic, and in the mid-to-low range. Combining my bilingual background with professional acting training, she brings versatility to both character work and narration. She can seamlessly transition from a sultry woman to a shy girl, from an authoritative female warrior to a serious corporate manager, or from a heartfelt mother to a silly grandma.
